He’ll guard her body all night long.
Former Marine Jude Wilde’s motto has always been “burn bridges and never look back,” so nobody is more surprised when Wilde Security is hired to protect assistant district attorney Libby Pruitt, the woman he loved and left. Although she makes it clear she wants nothing to do with Jude, they’re forced to fake a relationship for her safety. He can’t ignore the heat still simmering between them, and when her stalker’s threats escalate to attempted murder, he’s left with no choice but to whisk her away to a friend’s safe house in Key West, FL.
Cooped up in paradise together, Jude begins to chip away at Libby’s resolve to hate him. But even as she gives in to his proximity and her body’s demands for his, she refuses to fall for his charms again. Maybe a torrid affair in the sun is exactly what she needs to get him out of her system. But when her stalker tracks them down, can they escape the steamy Key West night without anyone getting hurt?
Jude Wilde is a carefree loose cannon whose motto is ‘never look back.’ But when Wilde Security is contacted to protect Elizabeth Pruitt, his ex-fiancé, Jude’s past will come slamming down on him. Libby wants absolutely nothing to do with Jude, but when an attempt is made on her life, they’re forced to retreat to a safe house. The hot days in Key West turn even hotter as Jude and Libby get to know each other again. But better not lose sight of the mission because danger might come knocking on their door…
With her debut novel barely a month old, Tonya Burrows comes back with this exciting new series! Wilde Nights is a fast paced romance-tumble full of humor and heartfelt moments that you will not want to end!
First, can I just mention that Burrows ability to create mouth-watering men is a freaking gift. I’m already fangirling about the men in her HORNET series, so meeting the Wilde boys was like shooting me up with an extra dose of fangirl insanity. Wilde Security is made up five brothers, the oldest brother Greer, the nicely dressed and ever serious Reece, the ying-yang twins (I’m calling them that because one is peaceful while the other isn’t) Camden and Vaughn, and the hilarious Jude. All the boys have unique personalities and I can’t wait to get to know them, their secrets, their desires, their secret desires…!
Ok. Moving on.
Jude is a total charmer. He grabbed my attention from page one for being the sexy trouble maker, but soon enough we learn this is just a facade to the true Jude. He plays the part of screw up really well. It’s what he’s been called and he’s given up on changing everyone’s mind. For someone who’s dealt with war issues pretty well, there is one day from his past that he can never forget or forgive himself for being the cause. The mystery of what that day is and how it changed his whole life makes a nice and steady base for the romance.
Romance is the focus here, but Elizabeth Pruitt has sealed her heart against any danger of heartbreak since that day eight years ago when Jude cheated on her a mere two days after proposing. Sealing her heart has meant blocking the joys out of life and drowning herself in work. So when Jude Wilde comes a-knocking, Libby wants to either run and hide or murder him on the spot. Though she might be hard to swallow at first, Libby won me over or rather the person she is with Jude won me over. Also, arriving at the secluded safe house in Key West means issues, but thank god, none of those include image issues. For a physically realistic heroine, Libby is comfortable with her built.
Jude and Libby’s chemistry is off the charts. With banter, heart wrenching honest scenes, and of course the steamy scenes! Good lord, I would so not be able to read them in public and keep a straight face. Summer in Puerto Rico is hot. While reading Wilde Nights, I swear the temp climbed a couple degrees more! Very, um…inventive too.
Oh, and I’ll mention this because it concerns a debate I read about recently. Something as simple as remembering a condom or putting away garbage to not loiter the beach may feel insignificant to point out in a story, but this reader cares and appreciates the thought when authors take the time to mention details like these. Seriously. A sentence is all it takes.
Finally, the most awesome surprise was that the characters in this book have connections to those in SEAL of Honor. We even meet Seth Harlan and get to know more about him. I’m very hopeful for more of these cameos between the series!

~Plan A, B, C~
Jude tried the doorknob. Nope. Locked. Damn.Going with plan B, he tapped on the window with his knuckle. Matchstick looked up and scowled.
Libby’s shoulders stiffened, but she didn’t lift her eyes from the papers on her desk.
Okay.
He doubled his fist and gave the lightly frosted glass a few good thumps. Matchstick, the flame-haired prick, positioned himself like a human shield between the door and the desk, then went back to note taking.
Libby still didn’t move.
Plan C then.
Jude grinned and started banging out a rocking drum solo on the window. Before he was even half way through “Another One Bites the Dust,” Libby shoved away from her desk. By the time she twisted the lock and yanked open the door, an aura of pissed off all but sizzled the air around her.
~YouTube Sensation~
Reece didn’t waste time with a greeting. “In. Your. Underwear. Really? I mean…really?”Of all the things he’d expected this convo to be about, underwear hadn’t been anywhere on that list. “What are you talking about?”
“Don’t tell me you don’t know,” Reece all but growled. “You. On the beach. In your underwear. With a lizard. What fucking part of low fucking profile don’t you get, Jude? I mean, fuck, you’re a meme. You’re all over the internet.”
The back of his neck heated. “All over?”
“Some tourist post you on YouTube, and it went viral.”
Jude gave himself a moment, just a moment, to wallow in the embarrassment, the shame, but then he gulped it all down and forced himself to laugh. “So I’m like an underwear model now. Maybe I’ll get a commercial deal with Hanes.”
“Jesus,” Reece said.
