Shelf Candy (4)

Shelf Candy is hosted by Five Alarm Book Reviews. Every Saturday, you showcase a book cover that has you falling head over heels. We’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but hey, sometimes it’s nice to stop and appreciate the awesome artwork!

I know now it’s all about photoshop, and photoshoots of girls in beautiful dresses and stuff, but I still like the 'hand drawn' or painted covers. I got the Partholon series by P.C. Cast in their new covers (see above), but once I saw the old covers (see below) I so wanted to exchange mine. They have so much more visual interest than the new ones!

Oh and I know this is a meme about covers but it’s a great series too ;)

I've only been blogging for about three months now and I feel really happy with all the positive reactions I've gotten in such a short time. So it is my pleasure to announce the winners of my first giveaway!
And the Winners are…

But wait! Since you all went far and beyond what I ever expected to receive in entries, I will now pick a fourth winner!

And the lucky one is…

The entire school's talking about the gorgeous new math teacher, Mr. Beck. Everyone except Kaylee Cavanaugh. After all, Kaylee's no ordinary high-school junior. She's a banshee—she screams when someone dies. But the next scream might be for Kaylee.

Yeah—it's a shock to her, too. So to distract herself, Kaylee's going to save every girl in school. Because that hot new teacher is really an incubus who feeds on the desire of unsuspecting students. The only girls immune to his lure are Kaylee and Sabine, her boyfriend's needy ex-girlfriend. Now the unlikely allies have to get rid of Mr. Beck…before he discovers they aren't quite human, either.

But Kaylee's borrowed lifeline is nearing its end. And those who care about her will do anything to save her life. Anything.
