Hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading

Unraveled

~Eduardo’s true love~

Six o’clock on the nose, Eduardo showed up with his daily bag of Taco Bell in one hand and a vase of red roses in the other.
“They’re gorgeous. You shouldn’t have,” I said, taking the crystal vase from him, inhaling the sweet floral smell.
“Dude, they’re not from me. Roses aren’t my style.” He handed me a beef burrito and emptied out the rest of his paper bag. “Now, this is a sign of true love.” He bit into a crispy taco and smile like a kid on Christmas morning.

Hosted at Breaking the Spine.

The Ward
Jordana Frankel
April 30 2013

Sixteen-year-old Ren is a daredevil mobile racer who will risk everything to survive in the Ward, what remains of a water-logged Manhattan. To save her sister, who is suffering from a deadly illness thought to be caused by years of pollution, Ren accepts a secret mission from the government: to search for a freshwater source in the Ward, with the hope of it leading to a cure.

However, she never expects that her search will lead to dangerous encounters with a passionate young scientist; a web of deceit and lies; and an earth-shattering mystery that’s lurking deep beneath the water’s rippling surface.

Why am I waiting for it?
Another exciting post-apocalyptic setting! And look at that cover O_O

The Eternity Cure

~Jackal's EpicLines~

“And here I almost thought you weren’t a complete bastard.”
“Well, that’s your mistake, not mine.”
~
“Well, he’s a real charmer,” Jackal muttered as the door closed. “You two must’ve been such great pals. I hope you don’t mind when I say I’m going to rip his tongue out through his nose and make him eat it.”
~
“Oh, don’t mind me,” came an extremely sarcastic voice near the wall. “You two go ahead and make out—I’ll just sit here and bleed quietly.”

It's Monday! What are you reading? (73)

Hosted by Book Journey

Just Finished Reading:
The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa
(Why would you do this to us Julie!? WHY!? A cliffhanger!)
War for the Oaks by Emma Bull
(Boy this did book surprise me or what! It had me laughing in every chapter and I found another book crush ♥ Phouka)
Poison by Bridget Zinn
(Short, adorable, with a punch of action. This is my kind of fantasy! It's like Tamora Pierce with a touch of Maria V. Snyder and a whole lot of humor and fun that it's all Bridget Zinn)
Dare You To by Katie McGarry
(Didn't make me cry uncontrollably like the first one, bit it's still one heck of an emotional book ♥)
The Collector by Victoria Scott
(This book had so much hype, but for me it was just an OK book not an "OMG I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT DANTE IN MY LIFE" kind of book)
Elixir by Jennifer L. Armentrout
(This short novelette is both awesome and devastating. Thank goodness I had Apollyon on had to keep on reading after)

Currently Reading:

Apollyon by Jennifer L. Armentrout
(Just started and I can tell this book is going to tear me appart)
The Killing Moon by N.K. Jemisin
(If this is as awesome as The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, then Jemisin is clearly the goddess of fantasy)

Planning To Read:
School Spirits by Rachel Hawkins
(I don't even know how I got this since its from Disney, but whoever is in charge of accepting the ARC requests THANK YOU)
