Wait for You
Some things are worth waiting for…
Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.
Some things are worth experiencing…
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet…
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?
And some things are worth fighting for…
Another absolutely captivating story by J.L. I bought not intending to read it right away, but then I checked out the first chapter and next thing I know it’s almost 2am and I’m half-way through the novel. That my friends, it’s the awesome power of Jennifer’s writing. It sucks you in and holds you tight.
The story itself deals with many significant issues—everyone has a past. Running from troubles. Not trusting people. And Rape. Yes, I know this last one has somehow become a trend now in contemporary novels. It’s a delicate topic and not all authors deal with it in the best way, but I think Jenn did a great job with Avery. Even though she’s technically running from her past, she’s still a strong, capable woman. A fighter in every way. It takes heartache, bad decisions, and a hot HOT neighbor to make Avery realize it’s time to stop running. Cam is…sweet baby jesus…there are just not enough words to describe how incredible he is! Jenn is the queen of writing swoon worthy boys, but she has outdone herself with Cam. The chemistry that develops between him and Avery is strong enough to make your e-reader and you melt. Seriously. Stay near a fan or AC.
I’ve no doubt about it. This is the best New Adult novel I’ve read. Ever. But though I loved it, I cringe every time I remember all the word errors in it. It was like running pleasantly, suddenly tripping on a rock and eating dirt. Repeatedly. I wanted to take a red pen to it…Still, even with all the errors/horrors, I told my grammar-girl self to shut up and continue reading. And read I did, because Wait for You is a book to devour.
PS: Where are the condoms? The word doesn't appear even once and it bothered me. Safe sex, people! Kthxbye.

~Wooing~
“Well, to be honest, I was planning to woo you with my banana nut bread, but that shit ain’t happening now. So all I have left is my delicious eggs.”I took a bite out of the cheesy goodness. “It is really good, but you’re not wooing me.”
“Oh, I’m wooing.” He opened up the fridge and grabbed a bottle of OJ. Pouring two glasses, he sat one in front of me. “It’s just all about the stealth. You don’t realized it yet."
