On My Wishlist (22)

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. The idea is to list all the books you desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming.

Once
(Eve 2)
Author: Anna Carey
Publisher: Harper Collins
Released: July 3 2012
Genre: YA Dystopia
Sixteen years have passed since a deadly virus wiped out most of the Earth’s population. After learning of the terrifying part she and her classmates were fated to play in the rebuilding of New America, eighteen-year-old Eve fled to the wilds and Califia, a haven for women determined to live outside the oppressive rule of the king of New America. However, her freedom came at a price: she was forced to leave Caleb, the boy she loves, wounded and alone at the city gates. Eve quickly learns that Califia may not be as safe as it seems and soon finds herself in the City of Sand and the palace of the king. There she uncovers the real reason he was so intent on her capture, and the unbelievable role he intends her to fill. When she is finally reunited with Caleb, they will enact a plan as daring as it is dangerous. But will Eve once again risk everything—her freedom, her life—for love?

Follow Friday (18)

Follow Friday is hosted By Parajunkee.com and Alisoncanread.com

This week question is:
Keeping with the Spirit of Giving this season, what book do you think EVERYONE should read and if you could, you would buy it for all your family and friends?
It's too hard just to pick one, so I'll do top three books that I would definitely buy for everyone this Christmas because they're must-read-go-out-and-buy-it-now-or-else kind of books:

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi
The prose in this book reaches deep inside and tugs at your heart and soul. Juliette is such an amazing heroine; a survivor with enough spark in her to still be a badass chick.

Divergent by Veronica Roth
Like Tris we're pushed to take a chance, take a leap, face our fears, do things that make us feel alive! I swear I finished reading this and I wanted to go skydiving or something, and I'm afraid of heights!

Dearly, Departed by Lia Habel
The cutest, most caring, most good natured, and romantic zombie you'll ever meet is Captain Bram Griswold.
