Waiting on Wednesday (48)

Hosted at Breaking the Spine, spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

I am eagerly waiting for...

The Dark Unwinding
Sharon Cameron
September 1 2012

When Katharine Tulman's inheritance is called into question by the rumor that her eccentric uncle is squandering away the family fortune, she is sent to his estate to have him committed to an asylum. But instead of a lunatic, Katharine discovers a genius inventor with his own set of rules, who employs a village of nine hundred people rescued from the workhouses of London.

Katharine is now torn between protecting her own inheritance and preserving the peculiar community she grows to care for deeply. And her choices are made even more complicated by a handsome apprentice, a secretive student, and fears for her own sanity.

As the mysteries of the estate begin to unravel, it is clear that not only is her uncle's world at stake, but also the state of England as Katharine knows it. With twists and turns at every corner, this heart-racing adventure will captivate readers with its intrigue, thrills, and romance.

Why am I waiting for it?
Steampunk is a must read always in my book.

Teaser Tuesday (47)

Hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading

City of Lost Souls

~A stamina rune~
"Does she still love you?"
"I don't think so," Magnus said dryly. "She wasn't very pleasant the last time I saw her. Of course that could be because I've got an eighteen-year-old boyfriend with a stamina rune and she doesn't."
Alec sputtered. "As the person being objectified, I…object to that description of me."

Musing Mondays (41) &It's Monday! (37)

 Hosted by Should Be Reading.
 This week’s musing is…

What is the longest book you have ever read? How long did it take you to read?

Hmmm *searches Goodreads*
It says the longest book I've read is The Black Jewels by Anne Bishop with a total of 1204 pages, but that's only because it's the 3-in-1 edition. It probably took me a single week to devour it and all because of one man...Daemon Sadi. LOL Now if we're talking about single books then it's Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling with a total of 870 pages. This one took me two days to read, no joke. Give me any of the Potter books and I'll devour it in a few hours ;)
