Hosted at Breaking the Spine, spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

I am eagerly waiting for...

The Evolution of Mara Dyer
(Mara Dyer 2)
Michelle Hodkin
October 23 2012

The truth about Mara Dyer's dangerous and mysterious abilities continues to unravel in this gripping sequel to the thrilling "The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer." One week after Mara walked into a police station in Miami at the close of "The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer," she has been committed to psychiatric treatment for what her parents believe was a mental breakdown. But what seems like a hallucination to everyone else is a chilling reality for Mara. Someone from her past has discovered her strange, deeply disturbing secret and that someone wants her to pay. But when no one believes the truth, Mara is totally helpless. The only person on her side is Noah Shaw, as sexy and handsome as he is loyal and cunning. Noah is the only person who can help Mara--as long as he doesn't get himself killed in the process.

Why am I waiting for it?
It's the utter mindfuckery of the first book that makes me come back for more. Oh, yes. And Noah. MUST come back for Noah ♥

Dearly Beloved

 ~Rules~
“You’re a zombie. If you’re not missing body parts, you’re doing it wrong!” Tom yelled.

~Survival~
Salvez gripped his head. “I think I’m beginning to lose my mind.”
“You’re still a bit shaken up,” Tom told him. “Buck up. You did great. And insanity isn’t all that bad, you know. Nowadays, I tend to think of stark raving madness as just a really flamboyant survival mechanism.”

Musing Mondays (51) &It's Monday! (48)

 Hosted by Should Be Reading.
 This week’s musing is…

Do you take notes while you read?

As a book blogger, I've found that its impossible to make a good review without taking notes. LOTS of notes. Kindle (Keyboard) was my answer, and I don't regret leaving hardcovers and paperbacks behind. It is so easy taking notes on my kindle! However, I do still read the occasional book in hardcopy, and then I resort to post-its. As for the notes themselves, they're mostly comments on parts I did or didn't like, things I thought were brilliant or notes on the characters themselves. And because I'm big on description in my own writing, I also take notes of descriptions I liked.
