Musing Mondays (62) & It's Monday! (60)

 Hosted by Should Be Reading.
 This week’s musing is…

~Is there a particular book that is you nemesis-the book you're determined to one day finish?~

Not really. If I start a book I either finish it then and there, or not. I don't return to them. I do have a series I want to finish. The Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erikson. These books are massive--500 pages plus each, some even reach 1k. I've been following the series since tenth grade, and got up to book 7 then it was almost a year later that I got book 8. By then I'd forgotten most of the characters and their problems. I made the decision to stop and start the series from book one once all the books had been published. They all have now, but I haven't found the time with trying to keep up with my MFA work and this blog. But seriously, it's a series I WILL finish one day. I just need three or four months free to do it... ^__^'

Fang Girl Book Blitz!

Welcome to the Fang Girl Book Blitz!
A big shout out to Xpresso Book Tours for making this possible. This is one of my top five favorite novels of 2012. I was lucky enough to have won one of the first ARC copies of Fang Girl back in May, and I’ve been raving about the book ever since. Fang Girl is fun, witty, and completely hilarious. You can read all about it in my review, or hop on by the my interview with Helen. But first keep on reading for more Book Blitz fun!

Things That Are Destroying Jane Greene’s Undead Social Life Before It Can Even Begin:

1) A twelve-year-old brother who’s convinced she’s a zombie.
2) Parents who are begging her to turn them into vampires.
3) The pet goldfish she accidentally turns instead.
4) Weird superpowers that let her rip the heads off of every other vampire she meets.(Sounds cool, but it doesn’t win you many friends.)
5) A pyschotic vampire creator who’s using her to carry out a plan for world domination.

And finally:
6) A seriously ripped vampire hunter who either wants to stake her or make out with her. Not sure which.

Being an undead, eternally pasty fifteen-year-old isn’t quite the sexy, brooding, angst-fest Jane always imagined...
