Waiting on Wednesday (11)

Waiting on Wednesday is the weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

I am eagerly waiting for...
Kiss of Frost
(Mythos Academy 2)
Release Date: November 29 2011
Hurray for Mythos Academy sequel! I can’t wait to read more about Gwen and Logan! At the end of the first book their relationship was left in a bit of a tangle. But now they have sword practice together every single day, and you know what they say about exercise…it gets the blood running ;)

Summary from Goodreads
I’m Gwen Frost, a second-year warrior-in-training at Mythos Academy, and I have no idea how I’m going to survive the rest of the semester. One day, I’m getting schooled in swordplay by the guy who broke my heart — the drop-dead gorgeous Logan who slays me every time. Then, an invisible archer in the Library of Antiquities decides to use me for target practice. And now, I find out that someone at the academy is really a Reaper bad guy who wants me dead. I’m afraid if I don’t learn how to live by the sword — with Logan’s help — I just might die by the sword …

Also eagerly waiting for...
Disenchanted
Release Date: January 2012
Oh! I found this by complete randomness when checking out the cover artist’s blog. I think it sounds really interesting. And I’m just a sucker for a good romantic story. I mean, just read that last sentence from the summary. Doesn’t it make you want to read the kind of hell and torture these poor characters will pass through while denying each other? Ahhh, such is love.

Summary from Goodreads
Some loves are meant to be…others are cursed.

Elizabeth Blackburn doesn’t believe in fate or the supernatural until she moves into Cliffside Manor and begins having nightmares about a woman who was murdered in the house.

Determined to unlock secrets that have remained hidden for centuries, Elizabeth is plunged into an otherworldly mystery that not even she can explain away, not to mention, her uncontrollable attraction to the former owner, Dorian Knight.

As the history of the Knight family curse begins to unravel, tensions heighten and old secrets turn deadly. Even though Dorian wants nothing to do with Elizabeth and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go...even if it kills her.

“Why are you here?" I asked him.

"That's an awfully big question, Anya."

"No, I meant here outside this office. What did you do wrong?"
