What makes Alex an exceptional heroine?
Alex has a fun and snarky attitude that makes her memorable for her sometimes--okay most times--inappropriate comments as she is never afraid to speak her mind. She can be extremely stubborn at times but hey! persistence is a virtue. Even with little training, Alex shows to be a very capable fighter. After her mother is killed she shows great courage by making her way through some very difficult situations alone. She’s totally a survivor. I love that she’d rather be a fighter and put her life in danger every day than live a life of servitude. I think that most important of all is that underneath all her though exterior and badass attitude she’s also very caring and vulnerable. For me that is what makes true heroines, the ability to balance strong and soft qualities.
This is why Alex gets my vote!
