This week question is:
Jumping Genres: Ever pick up a book from a genre you usually don't like and LOVE it? Tell us about it and why you picked it up in the first place.
Yes! And I'm so glad I did break my own silly genre rules. Basically, I would never open a book that didn't have a fantasy or paranormal element in it. Meaning I'd never read contemporary YA novels until...I found Stephanie Perkins work! Anna and the French Kiss was my introduction to contemporary YA, and after that my rules went out the window. After that I've read Lola and The Boy Next Door by Stepahie too, Paper Towns by John Green, and The Right & The Real by Joelle Anthony. I'm planning to read more of John Green's books, but I'd also like to find other awesome contemporary YA writers. SO if you have any suggestions, leave a comment below! :D
